When I pinned this idea on Pinterest a while back, I knew I had to give it as my next gift: purchase a copy of Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss, have your child’s teacher inscribe a note every year, and give it to your child as a high school graduation gift. You don’t even have to limit it to teachers; you can include coaches, parents, siblings, and relatives. What an amazing keepsake!

We’re attending a 2nd birthday this weekend, and since the birthday boy is starting preschool this fall, we’re gifting him this book filled in with the first inscription. I love this idea for a thoughtful and inexpensive gift!

I love to give something educational and something fun, so some other goodies in his birthday gift bag include Charlie’s tried and true favorites: Melissa and Doug Cutting Food Box, Crayola Watercolor Paint Palette (you can use them in place of a birthday card), and Pororo training chopsticks (Charlie is getting so good with them!).
