Mr. Bee wants to do a super casual first birthday party for Olive, which means it’ll probably be just family at home. But I still wanted to do a little something special, and when I came across these first birthday cake smash photoshoots, I thought it’d be so much fun to do!

I’m never one to pass up a picture opportunity when it comes to Charlie and Olive, and I think I could set this up without too much effort.

So cute! We had a smash cake for my LO, but she didn’t smash it. She just poked at it, and threw the cake on the floor..

Perfect timing!
I wonder how they got that first cake “ruffled” like that?! At first I thought it was paper doilies tea dyed and stacked!! LOVE it.
ETA: Figured it out and so doing this for DS’s cake since we can’t do colored icing!
