When Olive outgrew the 4oz Philips Avent bottles we’d been using, I decided to try a different bottle since she’s still not a big fan of bottles. My research led me to the Comotomo Natural Feel Bottle, which has been getting rave reviews on Amazon. The biggest selling point of the Comotomo is the oversized nipple; it touches the baby’s face much like a mother’s breast would while breastfeeding.

Other features of the Comotomo include: a very soft nipple, silicon bottle that can be squeezed to mimic a let-down, two anti-colic valves in the nipple that release air, and only three parts to clean. The downsides of the bottle are that the measurements on the bottle are a little hard to read (although that’s never been an issue for me since I pump directly into Medela bottles and transfer to the Comotomo), it’s large so it won’t fit in some warmers, and it’s a little pricey ($15.99 for a 150ml bottle with slow flow nipple, and $16.99 for a 250ml bottle with a medium flow nipple).

But my bottle-hating Olive loved it the first time we used it. She even took an ounce from me without a fuss before demanding the breast, but that’s definitely progress.
